Adding More on NO AUTO DMs

Alternatively, don't join them and speak out for starting and perpetuating Auto DMs

Dear Richard,
Let me offer another side of Twitter auto DMs. I'm not able to spend huge amounts of time on Twitter. All the same, I'd like to show anyone following me that I appreciate the gesture. My auto DM welcome message invites followers to tell me about themselves and I personally respond to everyone who does later when I have the time. However, I can certainly understand how someone like you who is following over 4,500 people would find it annoying to have your message box cluttered. Just keep in mind that for some of us who use Twitter as time is available, automated DM messages are not such an evil. Sure, I know these are not real messages when I get them. But I also know actors in movie are just reading lines from a script and I'm OK with that too.

Be nice if you left a name rather than anonymous. I understand and contemplated this argument...nothing to stop you from welcoming new followers as public tweets when you can.

I have yet to see an auto dm that was not lame and less than genuine.....so why not just connect and tweet.

When you think about it auto mass generated DMs are actually an oxy moron

Twitter isnt about actors reading from scripts....its about genuine conversation, or was....and in my case real connections with customers.
